Q8Aviation volunteers renovate homeless centre in Woking

Staff at Q8Aviation in Woking this year dedicated their annual away day to helping the local community by renovating a local hostel for homeless people.

The entire staff turned up to paint bedroom walls, assemble new furniture, freshen up the hallways an

d bathrooms and replant flower boxes. Local companies Brewers, Clientcare window cleaners, Squires Garden Centre and Kevin Murphy Garden Design contributed new furniture and plants to the hostel.

Andrew Westmoreland, managing director of Q8Aviation comments: “Our team has a strong history of charitable support. Hardly a month passes without someone asking colleagues for fundraising sponsorship and two of our team are involved in charity management in their spare time.

“However, this initiative raised our community support commitment to a whole new high. Instead of spending an away day socialising or in competitive games, we made a real difference in our local community and, at the same time, had the best possible team building experience.

“I am very proud of what our team achieved and delighted that we could help disadvantaged people in Woking.”
