Robert Finch, SSHE Manager at Q8Aviation, has successfully completed the prestigious NEBOSH National Diploma

Robert Finch, SSHE Manager at Q8Aviation, has successfully completed the prestigious NEBOSH National Diploma, a globally recognised qualification for health and safety professionals.   As current Chairman for the past two years of the HSSE Committee of JIG (Joint Inspection Group), which sets industry standards for aviation fuel, Robert is already highly experienced in this field.

Robert comments: “Health and safety responsibilities in Q8Aviation are very varied and the National Diploma is invaluable in building knowledge and awareness across a wide range of topics; this will be of great benefit to our company and customers.”

The NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) National Diploma involves six weeks of training and many hours of private study. There are modules in managing health and safety, hazardous agents in the workplace and workplace and work equipment safety. It also requires a final workplace based dissertation.

SSHE Co-ordinator Jeremy Kitsell has also developed his knowledge through taking the NEBOSH National General Certificate, which provides a valuable overview of health and safety and a sound base for further study.

Steve Newton, Technical and Operation Director says: “This enhanced training further strengthens health and safety expertise within Q8Aviation and supports Q8’s aspiration to be world class in this area.”
