Top level restructure at Q8Aviation

Q8Aviation has announced a reorganisation of its senior management team, effective immediately.

Fadel Al-Faraj, General Manager of Q8Aviation, says: “Following a review of our long-term business strategy we have adjusted our management structure to align it more closely with our objectives and Q8’s corporate mission. Our top team combines experience with a fresh outlook and is ideally placed to drive the company forward”.

Three new Directors have been appointed, reporting to Fadel Al-Faraj, General Manager of Q8Aviation:

Julian Amesbury takes on the new role of Commercial Director, responsible for sales, business development and planning.  Julian joined Q8Aviation more than ten years ago and brings to this position in depth experience in operations, business development and IT.

Steve Newton joins as Technical and Operations Director to oversee the technical, operational, health & safety and IT aspects of the business. Since 1983, when Q8 was established, Steve has pursued a successful and varied career across the company, including the management of key projects; he was latterly a senior manager in internal audit.

The new Supply & Logistics Director is Mark Welch, who has worked for Q8Aviation for 12 years and was formerly Supply and Logistics Manager. Overseeing the logistics of jet fuel supply across all Q8Aviation’s operations, his key challenge will be to manage a team with the essential skills needed for a dynamic environment.

Peter Coules joins the team as Finance Manager, with responsibility for all financial activities and compliance across Q8Aviation. Peter has 24 years’ experience working in the oil industry within both operating companies and corporate head offices. His objective is to ensure a strong commercial outlook whilst maintaining appropriate financial controls.
